This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Peakform handles when you use cafedeparfumth.com, when you email the studio, and when you ask for project notes. It is written for households, not for lawyers alone. Please read it with the Terms & Services.
The short version
We would rather collect little and explain it clearly. This website does not run a user account system, a payment page, or a tracking pixel. The forms you see check your entries in the browser and do not transmit them to a server. If you want Peakform to read something, send an email. We use that email to reply, to prepare a scope, and, only if you asked, to send occasional project notes.
We do not sell personal information. We do not buy marketing lists. We do not ask for a telephone number or a street address on this website, and we do not publish one for the studio. If a project later needs a visit, the place of the visit is the home you invite us to, arranged by email.
Who we are
Peakform operates this website at cafedeparfumth.com. For privacy questions we are the people responsible for the correspondence we actually receive. You can write to hello@cafedeparfumth.com with the subject “Privacy”. We will reply by email. We do not maintain a public postal counter for privacy requests.
When this policy says “personal information”, it means information that identifies you or your household, such as a name, an email address, a description of your home that could identify it, or photographs of private rooms.
Forms on this website
Quote forms, the contact form, team quick-message forms, the subscribe form, the unsubscribe form, and the small footer subscribe field are client-side only. Your browser checks that required fields are present and that an email address is shaped like an email address. If the check succeeds, the page shows a confirmation. That confirmation is generated on your device. The words you typed are not stored in a Peakform database, because this static site does not have one, and they are not emailed automatically.
This matters. Please do not rely on a form confirmation as proof that we have your project. Copy the details into an email to hello@cafedeparfumth.com if you want a representative to respond. You can also use the confirmation as a reminder of what you meant to send. Closing the page clears the form. We cannot recover text that never left your device.
Do not type passwords, payment card numbers, or identity document numbers into any form or email about a project. We will never ask for a card number by email. Amounts for an accepted scope, if a project proceeds, are described in the scope itself and settled by a method named there, not through this website.
Email you send us
When you email hello@cafedeparfumth.com we receive whatever you chose to include: your address, your name, the time you sent it, and the body. That may include room descriptions, photographs, and the history of a leak. We use it to answer you, to decide whether we can help, to prepare a scope, and to keep a coherent record of decisions if work goes ahead.
Please send project mail from an address you control. If you share a family inbox, anyone with access to that inbox will see the thread. We treat the people on the thread as the people allowed to hear about that enquiry, unless you tell us to narrow it.
What a project conversation can include
A live enquiry, once it is actually emailed, may grow into notes that contain: names of adults in the household, email addresses, the rooms in scope, photographs, product choices, schedule notes, and the accepted scope. We do not need your date of birth, a national identifier, or financial account numbers for ordinary home improvement planning, and we ask you not to send them.
If you mention health information because it affects the work, for example a need to avoid strong solvents in a room someone sleeps in, we use that only to plan the sequence and we do not keep it for any other purpose. Tell us if a detail should be deleted after the relevant phase.
How we use information
We use personal information that we actually receive for these purposes:
- to reply to questions and arrange a conversation;
- to prepare, revise, and carry out a written scope;
- to coordinate finishes, materials, and timing with you;
- to keep a record of what was agreed, in case of a later workmanship question;
- to send project notes if you subscribed, and to stop them if you unsubscribed;
- to protect the studio, a household, or a person on site from harm or fraud;
- to meet a legal duty if one applies to a given project.
We do not use your project emails to train a public model, to build an advertising audience, or to tell other firms what you plan to renovate. We do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects about you. A human reads the mail.
Project notes
Project notes are occasional emails about caring for roofs and rooms, choosing materials, and news from the studio. They are not a daily drip. A typical rhythm is about twice a month, and sometimes less. The subscribe form on this website only checks an address in your browser. To be added in reality, email hello@cafedeparfumth.com with the subject “Subscribe” and the address that should receive notes. We treat that email as your request.
Each note will identify Peakform and will remind you that you can stop. We do not hide the sender. We do not sell the list. We do not add you because you asked for a scope. A project thread and a notes list are different, and only the notes list is affected by unsubscribe.
Unsubscribe
You may stop project notes at any time. Email hello@cafedeparfumth.com from the subscribed address with the subject “Unsubscribe”. You can also use the Unsubscribe page to prepare the request, then send the same request by email so it actually reaches us. The on-page confirmation alone does not edit a list, for the same reason other forms do not transmit data.
We aim to stop notes promptly after a clear request. A message already queued may still arrive. Transactional emails about an open scope, such as a revision you asked for, are not marketing and will continue until that project is closed or you ask us to stop the project itself.
Cookies and local storage
This static website does not set analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or a login cookie. It does not use local storage or session storage to remember you. Your browser may still keep ordinary technical logs of its own, such as history, and your email provider logs mail you send. Those are outside the pages we publish.
If we add a non-essential cookie later, we will describe it here before we rely on it, and we will not use it to follow you across unrelated websites. Essential operation of a future form host, if we ever add one, would be described in the same place.
Fonts and technical requests
Pages may request the Poppins typeface from Google Fonts so headings match the design. When your browser requests that typeface, the font host receives a technical request that can include your IP address and the page address, under that host’s own policy. If you block third-party requests, the site still works and falls back to a system typeface.
Photographs are stored with this website. They are not hotlinked from an image board. We do not embed social-media trackers. Share icons open a share action on the network you choose, or your email program. Those services then apply their own rules to the share. You do not have to use them.
Photographs of homes
Photographs on the public pages are general images of houses, rooms, materials, and people used to explain the work. They are not a gallery of private clients unless a caption says a household agreed. If you email us photographs of your own rooms, we use them to understand the enquiry. We do not publish them without a separate agreement, as the Terms & Services also say.
If you believe a public photograph identifies you and you did not agree, email hello@cafedeparfumth.com with the page address. We will look and, where the concern is fair, we will remove or replace the image.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share project details with a specialist or a supplier only when that sharing is needed to carry out a scope you are pursuing, and only to the extent they need. For example, a glazier may need opening sizes, not your whole inbox. We ask those people to use the information for that task and not for their own marketing.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to prevent serious harm. We will tell you unless a legal duty stops us from saying so. If the studio’s correspondence ever moves to a new operator of the same service, we will tell subscribers by email and point to the policy that applies afterwards.
How long we keep information
Enquiry emails that do not become a project are kept long enough to finish the conversation and to handle a follow-up you might send in the same season, then deleted or reduced to a short note that we have already replied, unless you ask us to delete sooner. Project records, including the accepted scope and photographs needed to explain what was done, are kept for the workmanship period described in the scope and for a reasonable time afterwards so we can answer a defect question. Accounting records, if a project is invoiced, are kept for the period the applicable rules require.
Subscribe requests are kept for as long as you remain on the notes list and for a short period afterwards so we can show that an unsubscribe was honoured. Server logs of this static hosting, if the host keeps any, follow the host’s ordinary retention and are not used by us for marketing.
Security
Email is a convenient record and it is not a vault. Messages can be mis-addressed, and devices can be lost. Please use an inbox you protect, and avoid sending sensitive documents we did not request. On our side we limit who can read the studio inbox, and we do not forward casual enquiries to a wide internal list.
No method of transmission is perfectly safe. We cannot promise that a message will never be intercepted on the open network. If you need to share something unusually sensitive, say so in a short email first and we will agree a more careful method before you send the detail.
Children
This website is meant for adults who are responsible for a home. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A project may be discussed in a home where children live, but the correspondence should be with an adult. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, write to hello@cafedeparfumth.com and we will delete the message.
Your choices and requests
You may ask us, by email, to:
- confirm whether we hold emails or project notes about you;
- send you a copy of the project correspondence in a common format;
- correct a name, an email address, or a room description that is wrong;
- delete an enquiry that did not become a project;
- delete or reduce photographs you sent;
- stop project notes;
- object to a use that is not required to finish a scope you still want.
We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days, and we will say if we need to keep a record for a legal reason or for an open workmanship question. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the same email address, so we are not deleting the wrong household’s notes. There is no fee for an ordinary request. If a request is repetitive in a way that disrupts the inbox, we will explain the limit before refusing the excess.
You may also complain to a privacy authority where you live if you believe we have handled information unfairly. We would like the chance to put it right first. Please email us before you take that step.
Messages from anywhere
People write to us from many places. This policy does not assume you live in a particular country, and the website does not target a single national market in its wording. When you email us, your message is read by the studio wherever our inbox is operated, which may be a different place from your home. We protect the message as described above regardless of that distance.
We do not claim a special local registration on this page, and we do not ask you to accept a foreign court merely by reading the site. Project scopes, if you accept one, will say how disagreements about that project should be discussed, starting with a written notice and a good-faith conversation.
Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change, for example if forms later send mail to the studio automatically. The date below will change, and a meaningful change to notes or to project records will be mentioned in the next project note or, where we have your email because of an open scope, in that thread. Reading the site after an update means you understand the new description of the website. It does not rewrite the privacy terms of a scope already accepted, except where a change is required by law and we tell you so.
Contact
Privacy requests and questions go to hello@cafedeparfumth.com. Please use a clear subject line: “Privacy”, “Subscribe”, or “Unsubscribe”. Include the address you want us to search for. We will not ask you to verify your identity by sending a government document for an ordinary request. There is no telephone line and no published street address for these requests.
If you only wanted to prepare a message, the forms on the site can help you check spelling and completeness. The email is what reaches a person.
