Project description
A steamed, noisy room was rebuilt around a real extract path and a floor that drains.
The old fan pushed damp air into the roof void. That was the first line of the survey, ahead of any tile. We ran a duct to the outside, waterproofed the wet zone, and set falls that a marble-effect tile would not disguise.
The household has one other small cloakroom, so we published the three days of full closure in advance. Niches were placed where bottles actually stand, not where a show home would put them.
Seals and the fan filter are on a one-page care note stuck inside the vanity on day one, then filed with the scope. The room is quieter because the fan is the right size and not fighting a blocked route.
“The mirror stays clear after a shower. That sounds small until you have wiped one every morning for years.”
