Project description
A tired gable was opened, re-battened, and covered again without soaking the rooms below.
The covering looked uneven from the lane, and the household had chased stains after wind-driven rain. The survey found sound rafters and tired underlayment, especially in the valleys. The scope replaced the covering and the junctions, and it left the structure in place.
While each plane was open, the rooms below were protected and the day’s work stopped at a weather-tight edge. Gutters were reset so outlets no longer held water against the fascia. The household kept a simple photo diary with us, which made the final walk easy.
The finished roof reads as quiet maintenance rather than a new costume. That was the brief: same house, drier ceilings, and a note the family can use after the next storm.
“We finally understand which stains were old and which joints were the real problem. The rooms stayed liveable the whole time.”
